How do I register as a new user?

To register as a new user click “Register here” below the login fields on the right panel. A separate window will appear in which you have to key in all your registration information. Submitting the information will make you a registered user of Skillguard.com.

How do I know the available tests?

After you login to the site, you are redirected to the page which lists tests available in all the different areas. Tests which are marked as "Available" can be taken by clicking on the hyperlink.

How long does it take to complete a test?

You have to answer 60 questions with a timespan of 30 seconds for each question. The total duration to complete a test is 30 minutes.Each question carries 1 mark and there is no negative marks for the wrong answers.

Do I have a practice session?

In the home page click the link "Practice Test" in the right panel to have a sample test.

How skillguard differs from other certification sites?

Skillguard is not a very usual online assessment site. Skillguard has been constructed by a panel of highly rated knowledge experts in the respective fields. It is also made sure that the person taking the assessment knows his grade precisely, by adopting the most complex and advanced computer adaptive testing methods.

How do we create the assessment items?

Preparing assessments items is not a very simple task. The items are prepared considering all skillsets listed in the Bloom's taxonomy and is evaluated accordingly. Before preparing items in any topic we set our objective so that our evaluation of your knowledge and skill is done to the most precise level. Moreover the contribution of the panel does not end with questions preparation but it continuous throughout the life cycle of the assesment and we make sure that questions are updated according to the response of the test taker.

What exactly is in your assessments?

Our assessments consist of a item bank which is full of questions prepared with care to judge a test takers ability with a least error.

Is your assessment method reliable?

We use the latest computer adaptive testing methods in which the number of questions that a student attends is not important but the parameter called difficulty level of the questions that the person attends is given high priority. The difficulty level of each question gets recalibrated depending upon the way the question is taken by the test takers. We also include a factor of discrimination and reliability as suggested by the three parameter Rasch model.
